Upgrades for Digital Marine iPad Case

Digital Marine have released some upgrades for their iPad cases which further enhance performance in a tough environment.

Firstly the new case design incorporates lenses for both front and rear cameras so capturing photo, video and facetime now become possible whilst in our fully protected rugged enclosure.

Also new is the threads located on the edges of the chrging port entry, these allow the new rubber seal power cables illustrated above to locate positively by screwing into the case. It is now possible to charge your iPad maintaining its IP65 integrity. The cable is 50cm long with the waterproof plug at one end and a USB connector at the other.

Also improved are the options for the mounting of the  quicksnap bracket, we can now supply ram mounts for rail mounting, triple suction mounts which enable mounting onto any smooth surface without drilling and screwing.

Digital Marine are pleased to have been appointed the Australian and New Zealand distributors for ShipModul NMEA multiplexers from the Netherlands.

The range of NMEA0183 multiplexers that ShipModul manufacture is very broad, they basically make a multiplexer for any application imagineable.

The latest innovation is the Miniplex-2Wi illustrated below which will allow NMEA data of all types such as Depth Speed Wind instruments, AIS data (fast NMEA at 38400 baud rate) and even Seatalk data from Raymarine's common Seatalk protocol to be combined for delivery on USB, 2 wired NMEA ports as well as via Wi-Fi to your android or iOS device operating navigation apps such as iNavX, iOnboard and NMEA remote. Alternately the data can also be viewed on WiFi using a PC running navigation programs such as Max Sea, Rose Point, MacENC and Nobeltec.
